Do you think I should get a termite inspection when buying a home in Treasure Island Saint Petersburg?

Home in St. PetersburgShould I really get a termite inspection when buying a home in Treasure Island Saint Petersburg?

YES, it will cost you $70 give or take and after the inspection you know what is going on.

If live termites are found, you can go back to the seller and ask for treatment or the inspection can't find anything, you have peace of mind.

If you choose the right Inspection Company they will even warranty their report for a year and treat for free if you have a problem within a year of Inspection.

A Home Inspection will reveal the buggers. I did an inspection last week where the home owners caught the infestation in time. Treated in 2006. Some surface damage but nothing structural. Termite Inspector agreed with my assessment and everyone goes home happy.

A WDI inspector will report on past and present infestations but a Home Inspector will also report on the structural damage that these little critters cause.

Well, if they are getting a mortgage, a termite inspection is usually needed but in my opinion, why would you NOT get a termite inspection, regardless of where you are buying???
