Just closed another Short Sale in St. Petersburg.
Took a while I have to say but was worth it. We got about $60,000 more on this Short sale than we expected. Once again this deal showed that aggressive advertising and marketing pays off in a regular sale and in a short sale. Sometimes I get the feeling that a lot of Realtor list a Short sale property here in St. Petersburg and all they do is put it in the MLS, no additional advertising because (it will sell anyway sooner or later) On this particular waterfront home we went through 4 buyers. The first one back out because he did not want to wait for the short sale process to finish, second one found another home and fell in love, third one could not get the mortgage after all and number 4 was the lucky one. Yes, as a realtor listing a Short Sale you have a long conversation with the seller and you prepare them for all kind of things that can happen but somewhere in the process they usually get anxious or frustrated or mad at the bank or or or but this Short Sale seller was a pleasure to work with and they appreciated all the hard work we as Realtors put into it.

Congratulations! We need to keep getting that inventory off the market! I have 2 that will close in April...........and I will be so glad when they are all gone!
