I just love the place and I am excited to go and watch the soccer games there.  They open not too long ago and I have been there a few times already. Love their food and the service is very good. It has the "beach feeling" but at the same time it is upscale, something we needed in our  St. Pete Beach  -Treasure Island area. BECOME A WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTOR OR CERTIFIED LIFEGUARD ST. PETE BEACH, FL: St. Pete Beach Aquatics is offering Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguard Certification classes. The WSI classes will be held from 3:00pm to 7:00pm on Fridays at the Tampa Bay Turner Swim School. Session I runs from March 12th to April 23rd and Session II runs from April 30th to June 4th. The Lifeguard Certification classes are held at the St. Pete Beach Community Center Pool and take place Monday and Wednesday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm and on Saturday from 9:00am to 3:00pm. There are three available sessions running from March to May. All students must be 16 years old to enroll and course fees are $125.00 for residents $150.00 for non-residents. For more information on becoming a Water Safety Instructor or Lifeguard, contact the pool at 363-9264.

This gated condo community is located at the northern end of St. Pete Beach right across the bridge to Treasure Island, only a few hundred yards from the beautiful beaches  and right on the intracoastal waterway. St. pete beach, FL:  The Beach Stewardship Committee of St. Pete Beach is looking for volunteers to help with the First Annual Sea Oats planting project taking place on Saturday, June 20^th from 9:00am to Noon.  This is a great project for friends, family, neighbors, church groups, community associations, students needing volunteer hours and other community organizations.  

 Efforts will begin at the southern end of St. Pete Beach and volunteers should meet at the Paradise Grill on Pass-a-Grille Beach.  Volunteers are encouraged to bring gloves, hand shovels, sun block, hats, beach shoes, watering cans and or milk jugs, and knee pads.  Parking passes and refreshments will be provided.

 Planting of native vegetation like sea oats helps form and maintain sand dunes, critical to controlling beach erosion.  St Pete Beach is one of several beach communities that benefit from Pinellas County Department of Environmental Management's donation of 10,000 plants for the first year with hopes of growing this event annually.  Come out and help us save our beaches.

St. Pete Beach, FL:  This summer the St. Pete Beach Aquatic Center is offering swimming lessons for adults and children as young as six months old.  All swim lessons are taught by American Red Cross certified instructors and classes range from Beginner to Advanced, encouraging swimmers to move at their own pace.  The American Red Cross "Learn to Swim Lessons" are held Monday through Thursday in two-week sessions with class times available throughout the day all summer long.  Adult Swim Lessons are taught on Tuesdays and Thursdays with sessions running June 9-25, July 7-23 and August 4-20.  Cost for either program is $32.00 with a membership card and $40.00 without.  Whether you have a child who is just beginning or are an adult ready to get over your fears of swimming, the St. Pete Beach Aquatic Center has the class for you!  Call 363-9264 for details and registration or stop by 7701 Boca Ciega Drive

I really like what St. Pete beach does with their new Aqua centre. Here is the latest

Water aerobics classes keep you cool and fit! ST. PETE BEACH:  The St. Pete Beach Community Center offers Shallow Water Aerobic Exercise classes five days a week to help keep you healthy and happy.  Classes are taught Monday through Friday from 1:00pm to 1:45pm at the St. Pete Beach Aquatic Center located at 7701 Boca Ciega Drive.  The class is great for muscle-toning and cardio with the benefits and support of the water.  These fun and invigorating exercise sessions are held in the outdoor pool that's heated to 82 degrees year-round.  Classes are $5.00 with a membership card or $6.25 without.  This is a drop-in class so come by anytime!  Call the pool for more details at 363-9264.

I just got the news that the "German baker boy" a little bakery on St Pete beach had to close their doors because their Visa has been denied.

What are we doing?  Isn't Pinellas county real estate market suffering enough?

A huge portion of our income here on the beaches comes from tourist; the German Baker Boy added a value service to our community, supplying all Europeans and Canadians with the bread and pastries they love.

While our government is talking about amnesty for illegal immigrant they punish the ones who have been here legally for years like the Bakerboy.

Marina and Detlef Raddant came to Florida 10 years ago and opened their bakery.

For 10 years they have been serving the community and paying their taxes, paying their rent, paying for their own health insurance etc.

They have not done anything wrong but apparently "their investment is not sufficient enough" I wonder how sufficient the investment of all the illegal immigrants is.
