Nina’s café in St Pete Beach is located on 9524 Blind Pass road right at the bridge to Treasure Island.

It is a great place to have breakfast and lunch. The food is really good and the service is wonderful.

Nina and everybody on her staff is extremely friendly and the moment you walk in you feel at home.

I love this little place, Manny and I had breakfast at Nina’s cafe last week and the portions were so big we both could not eat it all.

I love the location and I love the outside sitting area, the nice breeze you always get and I love to watch the boat come in and out of Blind Pass, in short I like everything about Woody’s but the way they serve their food.

 Everything is on plastic and paper plates and plastic knifes and folks.

 If I got there for Lunch and have Fish spread ( really really good) I do not mind.

But tonight I was there having dinner, Surf and Turf and it is on a paper plate and I am supposed to cut the steak with a cheap plastic knife……………. So, Woddy's in St. Pete Beach is a great place for lunch and sunset drinks.

Where do you go for Chicken wings in Treasure Island?

I love to go to Sloppy Joe’s on Gulf Blvd and the corner of 106 Ave. Their wings are really good and you are right on the beach. You can sit inside and enjoy the air-condition or you can sit outside and enjoy a nice breeze and watch the beach action.  Best time of the day is around sunset. I really like their menu, is nice and the prices are very reasonable. So, when you are in Treasure Island check out Sloppy Joe's you won't be disappointed.

Well, where do I go for dinner tonight? Our little beach towns have lot of places, something for every taste and every mood. Let' start with fish since we are surround by water. A really nice upscale fish restaurant is the "Mad Fish" on St. Pete Beach. Service and food are very good, perfect place for a nice date. I always recommend "PJ'S" on St. Pete beach for the everyday seafood dinner. I am in love with their Chicago oysters, they are absolutely wonderful.  Bonefish Grill on Tyrone Blvd. has a huge selection of fish and I would kill for their Bang Bang Shrimp. You can get "all you can eat" crab legs on Tuesday and Thursdays in Treasure Island at the R Bar. (Be there early otherwise they might be sold out)

To find Theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese best Lobster bisque you have to go to The Perl in Treasure Island. Their food is always great but the Lobster Bisque is out of this world.

What a great place. Fine southern cuisine and that is so true. I really like this restaurant. It has a great atmosphere and great food. The staff is very friendly and the place is beautiful. High ceilings (and I mean 20 something feet) nice little bar area, outside seating etc. The colors are very warm and they used a lot of wood. They have a Julep iced tea for $3 or an original Julep with Kentucky bourbon for $7. Their appetizers start at $7 up to $9 and entrees are somewhere around $19. So, if you are somewhere in the area and want to taste southern cooking, the Savannah's is the place to go. It is right on Central Ave in a beautifully restored old building. This is not the typical restaurant with the typical food.

Redington beach, The Frog Pond a great lunch place             What a great place in Redington to have breakfast or lunch. It is located on 16909 Gulf Blvd. in the little Redington Shopping plaza  on the east site of Gulf Blvd. The Frog Pond open in September 1982 and is one of the best know places for breakfast and lunch if not the best known place in Redington beach. It has a great and unique at atmosphere and the food is wonderful.

Prices range from $6.50 to $11  The portions are sooooooooooo huge, you won't believe it.

Their Salad Platter $9.50 can serve 5 people easily, I am not kidding. You should see the look on people faces when the plate arrives.  They sit in front of it and stare for minutes before they start.

Manuela and I went to the Frog pond today,  she ate about 1/5 of her plate and I ate about 1/3. of mine and we were hungry.

Everything I have ever eaten at the Frog Pond was really good (and huge). Some of my favorites are

The Quiche Lorraine $8.70

Frog Benedict  $10.80

It has poached eggs, Canadian bacon, mushrooms,

Swiss cheese, English muffin and sauce Hollandaise

The Club Sandwich $8.40

Greek Salad  $7.55

So, when you are in Redington, come to the Frog Pond, I promise you will never forget your first visit.

Remember only open for breakfast and lunch.

The "O" Bistro.  I love this place. It is in South Pasadena, on the corner of Central Ave and Pasadena Ave. I believe they are open daily. I go there a lot for lunch. It is upscale and the food is very creative and really good. Just reading their menu is a pleasure. The prices are reasonable the service is very friendly and everything just fits together. They have a variety of different item, like vegetable wraps or a quiche of the day or a pot roast, or smoked salmon. Everything I have had at the  "O Bistro" was very good. The place is perfect for a business lunch

It is a little tricky to find the place, but it is worth it. This is a neighborhood hang out and out will hardly ever find a tourist here.

The "Hide away" I promise, they make the best Hamburgers in town, and they serve food till after 1 am.

The Hide Away is located on the east site of Gulf Blvd right behind Norman's liquor store. You can not see it from the street, but pull into the liquor store's parking lot and go all the way to the end.

It is amazing to me, people do not now about the Hide Away, a place that has more than fair prices and great food and is open late and is on the water.

Great Places, Great food in Treasure Island

One of them is "The Pearl" Fine dining in Treasure Island

I really like  the place; the food is great and very creative with a Moroccan - Mediterranean touch.

Located in  downtown Treasure Island on the south site of 107^th Ave, near the clock tower.

Open at 4 pm Monday - Saturday. They might change their hours in the season.

You can reach them at  727 360 9151, they are usually very busy, so it might be good to call and make reservations.

They also have a few tables outside which is really nice.

Appetizers are between $7 and $10 and entrees are $16 to $28. My favorite soup is the Lobster bisque, made fresh daily. My favorite entrée is the ½ duck with orange sauce.

Also, they have some daily specials that you do not want to miss. The food is fantastic and the chef is a master in presenting it. They have a great wine list to compliment all their dishes and the service is very delightful.

Real nice atmosphere with real table cloth and napkins and candles. Would be a good place to impress the first date. . . Ok, let's not go there.

Anyway, we are all glad that we have "The Pearl" in Treasure Island.  Trust me, this is the perfect place to go and have a wonderful evening.
