This is probably the best advice I can give you.
If you do not wants weeds in your flower bed you HAVE to use the Weed Block. Trust me, I have done flower beds with and without and it makes a huge difference.
So do not take a short cut, we are in Treasure Island Florida and weeds grow 24 /7 and it is just no fun to spend hours on your hands and knees pulling weeds.
All you need is a few roles of the Weed Block, a pair of scissors and little "crampons" to hold the fabric in place.
It is not that expensive, fast and really easy to do.
