I took a long walk on the beach today, started at Johns Pass and walked south towards the Bilmar Hotel. I parked my car that the Snowy Egret parking lot, one of Treasure Islands many public beach accesses. 
I was surprised to see construction material all along the beach walkway.
Guess treasure Island is getting new beach walkways.

An old walk way to the beach in Treasure Island nearly demolished.
A few minutes later I passed this beach access.
Looks like it has new pilings and is ready for new planks.
I really could not believe that I would see a different phase of the project every few hundred yards, but this sure looks like the next step in putting in new beach walks.
And here it is, the final product. I liked the old wooden once better, but I guess this material has a life time warranty. . . . . . .
It was a beautiful Sunday today, the sun was in hiding but it was nice and warm with a light breeze. I got a great workout and I learned something about beach walk way construction.
